Our mission

AMBASSADOR CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY OFFERS DEGREES FROM THE ASSOCIATE OF BIBLICAL STUDIES THROUGH THE DOCTOR OF THEOLOGY. THE COURSES ARE PROVIDED IN THE ACU DISTANCE EDUCATION FORM, AND STUDENTS MAY WORK AT THEIR OWN PACE.

ACU OFFERS TWO SCHOOLS OF SPECIALIZATION: THE ACU SCHOOL OF PASTORAL STUDIES THROUGH ITS FAITH THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY AND THE ACU SCHOOL OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND LEADERSHIP THROUGH ITS GRACE THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY.

We believe that there is no substitute, nor equivalence to Christian Education, the type Christ left us. In the classroom setting, the student learns in a consistent matter. The student teacher interaction is face to face. But the University understands that in today's society, there are thousands of adults, who are not available to attend college in a classroom setting, because of their work schedule, finances or geographical situation. The mission of the University is to provide an alternative, educational forum for persons who work or live far away from a university. We offer a very special program of studies. This mission is fulfilled by providing an individualized and effective program for the student that meets his/hers particular need and goals. A course curriculum will be developed with consideration to the needs of the student. This curriculum will include the appropriate levels needed to fulfill the requirements for graduation. The courses, texts, and assignments will reflect the student's interests. After the course requirements are completed, the student will feel proud to be a part of such marvelous enterprise, receiving a Diploma for the hard work done as a student of the University.

The mission of the University is to meet the needs of many seeking a degree, but for reasons of high cost, non transferable credits, discrimination, or prejudice cannot attend a university. Here is the key of the success of the University: we keep cost at a minimum so that students may be able to see their study dreams become a reality. They will be better prepared to professionally to fulfill the mission to "go and preach" in their own particular calling for service.

Method of Study:

ACU's curriculum is an educational format specifically prepared for long distance learning. That is the student can do his/her studies via mail, the internet. In some cases we make tutoring arrangements so the student can travel to our University. This is based on the financial need of the student.

This structure of studies and courses is dependent on the pace and time the student gives in order to complete it. All the degree programs are designed to fulfill the traditional educational requirements and are Theology from the Holy Scriptures and not man's doctrines.

Certificate Program:

The student will register with administration in the course work that will lead to a certificate. This course work provides the individual the knowledge and tools desired and needed to serve the Lord in ministry.

The applicants for the Master's in Theology will need to have a Bachelors degree. If you do not have one you can study with ACU to receive it. The student is required to take the courses defined for this masters degree and write a creative thesis which he/her chooses or which ACU may assign. We accept transfer credits from other educational institutions, and we may give credits for work and professional experience, if the proper documentation is provided. The Master's candidate is required to write a Thesis, with a minimum of 100 pages, on an appropriate project and that is prepared in a scholarly and academic structure. The thesis must be approved by the students counselor assigned by the Faculty of the University.

9. Master's in Christian Education

The applicants for the Master's in Theology will need to have a Bachelors degree. If you do not have one you can study with ACU to receive it. 10. Master's in Divinity

The applicants for the Master's in Theology will need to have a Bachelors degree. If you do not have one you can study with ACU to receive it. 11. Master's in Theology

12. Doctorate in Ministry

With an emphasis in Christian Ministry, this degree program is prepared to help the student in all the knowledge of serving in Christian Ministry and Counseling. Student must have at least a Master’s in Theology. The Doctorate candidate is required to write a Dissertation, with a minimum of 150 pages, on an appropriate project and that is prepared in a scholarly and academic structure. The dissertation must be approved by the students counselor assigned by the Faculty of the University.

13. Doctorate in Theology

The applicant for the Doctorate, must have a Masters degree in a similar field. This degree program takes approximately two years, and may change depending on the transfer credits from other educational institutions, and we may give credits for work and professional experience, if the proper documentation is provided. IBU offers three Theology Doctorates. Doctorate in Theology, Doctorate in Divinity, and a Doctorate of Ministry. The Doctorate candidate is required to write a Dissertation, with a minimum of 150 pages, on an appropriate project and that is prepared in a scholarly and academic structure. The dissertation must be approved by the students counselor assigned by the Faculty of the University.

42 Credits

14. Doctorate in Christian Education

The student must have a Masters in a similar field. The time of studies is around 2 years, depending on the number of transfer credits accepted. This doctorate requires a Dissertation of a minimum of 150 pages prepared in a scholarly and academic structure. The dissertation must be approved by the students counselor assigned by the Faculty of the University.

15. Doctorate in Christian Counseling
